At least 37 terrorists killed in countywide actions


PESHAWAR,KPK (TNO) Stepping up action against militants following the recent wave of terrorism, Pakistan Army destroyed 12 training camps of banned Jamaatul Ahrar in two days along Pak-Afghan border, killing at least 37 terrorists in countywide actions.
Pakistan Army said the forces continued to bombard militants’ hideouts in Mohmand and Kurram agencies near Afghan border, destroying 12 camps since Saturday.The camps were being used by Jamaatul Ahrar, a breakaway faction of TTP.Army said 20 terrorists, including a senior militant commander Rahman Baba, were killed.In a separate action on Sunday, officials said 11 militants were killed in Kurram Agency while entering Pakistan at the border along Afghanistan.In another operation, five terrorists of banned outfit were killed by Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) in Layyah town of Punjab. Weapons and explosive material was recovered from them.In Quetta, the security forces shot dead a ‘most wanted terrorist’ on New Saryab Road in Quetta this morning. Sources said the militant was associated with Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan.Meanwhile, 35 suspects were arrested during search operations in different areas of Peshawar Sunday morning.
